Come stay with us at the Gold Country Inn in Placerville. We are located in the heart of California's Gold Country, only minutes away from The Gold Bug mine and Sutter's Mill in Coloma.
In the Fall, we are minutes away from Apple Hill area where you can find great homemade apple pies, fritters and cider as well as arts and crafts from many area artisans! Tour local wineries like Boeger and David Girard Winery and many more.
In the Winter, we are just a short drive away from great snow parks where you can take the kids for sledding. We are also less than an hour from Sierra at Tahoe, a great place for skiing and other Winter activities.
During the Spring, local wineries host "The Passport Weekend" when they have an open house at all of the wineries for wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. In the Summer, stay with us and visit the great American River for whitewater rafting, gold panning and fishing. For other "big city" entertainment we are 45 minutes away from Sacramento and 1 hour away from South Lake Tahoe.
